GEPC, SEPC and IHG, compatability with Zaino

So far I see no difference visually.

The slightly sllicker zaino only side is no longer slicker after the third day.

Under the lights the swirls are slightly less visable on the IHG treated side.

As I stated before I did not do a great prep job, leaving some swirls. I was short on time.

The car is a dark grey metalic called steel grey

I know. :) I really like your collection by the way. Any pics of the '95 M5 by any chance?

Thank you! I love BMW'S

I have not taken delivery of the 95 M5 yet. It is still in Germany.

You can look at it on this web site www.willz.ca/ Tag Products and then scroll down to the 95 witl 116000 km's on it. It also says

"sold to a client in New York" I love the Vannila interior.

Bye

Bruce

Ohh sweet! :bow You take the euro-spec M5 and I'll take the Canadian-spec M540i (which is one of only 32!) :D

Correction: they actually show the plaque stating that it is number 14 of 32.

I have an update on the durability.

Since this car is my wifes daily driver, and due to the extremely cold conditions I have only washed this car two or three times in the last few weeks. Today after the storm I noticed the melted snow left smaller beads on the IHG side. Can anyone weigh in on this?

Both sides feel equally slick and after each wash they both seem to shine the same.

The shine is quite good actually considering the salt and junk that gets on a daily driver in a north east winter.

I would have to say that there is little bonding issue that these rookie eyes can detect.

PAco and intermezzo, have you guys done any testing yet?

Bye all;

Bruce :bow

Not until the Spring. :-(

It's far too freakin cold here to do any real detailing and my garage is stilled packed with house items until I can clear it out this spring.

Boy the Spring can't come soon enough ...

I've done my shoveling

I've done the ice fishing

I've built a snow man

I've put and taken down the Xmas lights

It's but about time the freakin ground hog comes and say "only 6 more weeks!"

...

LOL Paco - "Okay, I'm done doing all that 'winter' stuff, so c'mon!!!!" (screaming at groundhog hole).

Unfortunately Bruce, Intermezzo won't be chiming in about any testing on this for the forseeable future as he's left the forum. :(

At least you have been able to take down your christmas lights! Mine have been under 2 feet of snow since 12-25, Now we get another 2 feet just yesterday. My truck looks like a ^%^%#!@@

salt lick!

Thank god the beast has been under wrapps all winter long. I took her out Saturday just to drive her, God that felt good. Got her dusty and it's been to cold to QD her DAMN!!!

Now she sits naked in my COLD *** garage until I can QD her I won't cover her for fear of grinding in the dust.

WOE is me............:sosad

Paco

Did you ever start up this test when the snow finally melted? If so what did you find out? I'm doing some research here before starting my first zaino adventure.

It doesn't matter which poilish you use. The key is to REMOVE oils/silicones prior to Zaino application.

After polishing, wash car with Dawn, follow with Z7 wash to remove any Dawn soap film and to increase Zaino ability to bond. Dry and start your ZFX/Z5 application.

When in doubt, contact Sal Zaino, as he's always willing to assist anyone with questions on the product.

You can see the results of my Zaino work on the SC430 I own.

Deanski

It would have been interesting to have you as part of this thread when it began last January. Read through it from the beginning - it's all about using GEPC prior to zaino and the possible effects. So that's why I was asking about the testing. So I didn't have to remove it in a wash before "zainoizing".

I hope Paco checks back in and lets us know. It looks like Bruce started the test, reported back what looked to be headed towards acceptable results, then stopped reporting.

After you do I'd be interested in seeing your prediction of the test outcome.
