Gentle Car Wash / Shampoo - to be used on a weekly basis

I'd say the same thing about Pinnacle...it's a good shampoo but it always seemed pretty harsh to me. Oddly enough it seemed especially hard on Pinnacle Souveran :nixweiss Not something I'd use for a garage queen, and I *did* use it on my garage queen Jag for a long time (got tired of redoing the Souveran every time I washed it).

Pinnacle has some bite too which is why I suggested P21S and PB. WIth either of these the Souveran has some decent durability...

I think the best policy is to choose your soap based on the condition the car is in. :)

Note, if you are using a carnauba, then certain car shampoos such as Meg's NXT can affect the wax. I've found that after washing, the gloss of P21s is changed and even feels a bit tacky.

Pinnacle is awesome on my well waxed Black and leaves a fantastic finish,a little expensive as is P21S that I also like.

IZ Perls good too.

I saw a wash and wax shampoo called "smartwash" is this any good and is it gentle?

I was using the 1z Perls and tried the smartwash. I found the smartwash had more lubricant going on and left a smoother, slicker finish. My new shampoo!!

If you are not afraid of going down in the social scale by getting OTC ;) :bolt , the friendliest car washes are Mothers california gold, Kit carnauba wash (quite good by the way) and the zymol blue.

Nothing wrong w/ OTC. :) TONS of people use NXT car wash (like me). And I'm not looking to switch either. It does everything I want a car wash to do, and it does it well. :xyxthumbs

Peace.

I really like the TOL. I made a thread like this a few months back and got a very good response. I was convinced to try the TOL and it was everything I wanted. I am using QEW until spring though, so I could part with some samples if anyone is interested. I have almost a full gallon of it.
