General Question

It's a shame that you have to go through this with the client as a result of what seems to be Tyler's doing. I was speaking to Tyler throughout his whole trip during the Lambo detail and he made no mention of a Ferrari detail. Unless this happened after the whole mess with the Lambo. Either way, what's done is done but I'm sure what goes around will come around. Since I found out about the mess, I've dropped all communication with him as I can't keep in touch with someone like that.



Hopefully you can use this as an opportunity to build your self-marketing skills to show the client that he can trust you. Be weary of offering him a crazy discount because he may automatically devalue your work, which he is already doing on the basis of what he's experienced.



I've noticed that Tyler's website does not work anymore, so perhaps he is planning on changing business names and starting over again?
 
Maybe just like the lambo detail you should let the owner of the enzo read through this thread so he knows we're not all a bunch of money grubbing hack artist like Tyler is and to spread the word to every other forum out there that this asshat visits about his work ethics... I hate to say it but Tyler needs to be stopped at all cost. This is getting out of hand and the true pro's of this feild are the ones suffering because of this guy.

Didn't Tyler have a helper/assistant with him on this "Tour of America"? And I believe he drove to Florida, he didn't fly.

As far as I know, he did not have an assistant. He did ask me a LOT of questions online during the Lambo detail though.



I'm getting pretty pissed off (to put it lightly) at what's going on because on a public-wide scale, Toronto detailers are getting a bad name because of Tyler. I think I speak for Kevin as well when I say this - On so many levels, this is very wrong to deceive customers and have the wrong intentions when doing something. This is getting way out of hand!



Hopefully people will become smart enough to see through his crap. I sure hope that if I ever moved my life to the US and pursued detailing, I wouldn't be given a hard time because of Tyler's actions.

David. I may be wrong but I think this wasprobably a different trip. The first one back in december he drove. It sounds like this one was more ecent and he flew.



I think the helper you are referring to was an autopian who was also visiting florida at the time during the december trip
 
Being interested in this I have an idea, we dont want people looking bad right? And obviously a freebie is out of the question. What if a few guys got together to do the job and in no time have a very happy customer in there area?
 
Not only is he a hack but also he is coming into the US and taking business away from US citizens. During the Lambo deal the customer mentioned that Holden could not give him a reciept du to the fact that he was not going to pay the taxes.



IF I remember correct, he was a big Obama supporter. Typical lib, we have to pay but not you.



With business hard to get in this economy that is only geting worse, if I run across him, after I K**K his A** then I am going ot march him down to the IRS.

Yeah, he called Todd a bunch of times too while he was working on it.

Probably so. I just remember seeing his "Teaser" thread which appeared to be a 2nd kid involved with the screw up.

Hey. Home now, so I can type for real. :) The helper was an Autopian from Finland or something? He was a young guy without much experience, started a thread saying he was going to be in FLA for the holidays and wanted to meet some other Autopians. He met Tyler and spent some time with him during the detail. There was a pic of him working the rotary, though I am not sure he really did.



Got More Wax - long shot, but do you know how the Ferrari owner got in contact with Tyler? Ferrarichat.com maybe?
