Anyone having any problems with gas in their area?

Last night, people were getting cut off at the pump at 10 gallons. Price here has jumped twenty cents overnight - with the expectation to skyrocket even more.

I also read in Kentucky that the governor was contemplating declaring a state of emergency in an effort to curb price gouging.

Just wondering about everyone else.
 
No problems in south Florida. Was down to $3.65 a few weeks ago but back up to $3.75-$3.79. Would love to see $2.95 again.
 
From $3.27 to $3.58 in our area for ethanol blend which is the cheapest.
Quite a spread for a small burg like Des Moines and it's suburbs.
 
It went from 3.59 at lunch at the closest station at work to 3.99. People are lined up to the highway. Just heard on the radio the police had to be called to disperse a crowd in a small town in AL. Wow.
 
unbelievable :eek: ... that because of a storm they would gouge friends and neighbors .... i get gas in NJ and it was $3.45 last week when i filled up

Keep in mind that the ones gouging you are not the local station operators.
Most of the actual operators are grossing about the same or less than the credit card fees they have to pay.

Any of you that accept credit cards know how that works. :eek:
 
From what I can gather online, it has to do with some refinery being closed. Something in the area of 25% of the refined gasoline sold in the US comes from this one refinery or area. That could be way off base though.
 
IT jumped 30 cents over nite here in the Killeen/Harker Heights area of Texas. This station is at $3.85 per gallon today at 2 pm today. $3.41/gal. on Monday last.

And I just ordered a gallon of QD+. Man I hate it when my gas bill cuts into my detailing funds.;)
 
Went up two days ago here.
Was 3,66 now 3,99 to 4,10 depending on what station you go to,
Oil is down nearly 50 bucks per barrel and gas is within 10 cents of all time high here,
Someone is making a lot of money :wall
 
I didn't notice and price raise here. But all the gas stations where PACKED with people or they are all out of gas. Why is our ONE Oil refinery in a n area that gets hit with hurricanes yearly?
