Gas spill on paint finish

I tried to search for this to no avail...



My red Mazda Pro 5 has a coat of #7 and two coats of #26 on it (applied within the last month).

While taking a road trip I filled up at a gas station in which the pump did not shut off when the tank was full (while I was busy 20/20ing my front windshield).

About 1 or 2 gallons of gas over-flowed down drivers side rear quarter panel.

Should I wash and re-apply wax? Both #7 and #26 again?

What to use to clean the mess up at the time of spill?

Any advice?

Dang,



I tried "clean gas spill" on search and that thread did not come up.



Actually I was surprised that was my first post. I feel like I have been here forever.



It is amazing what I have learned by reading posts!!!
