Garry Dean Method and ONR

Been using the GD method with ONRW for a few months now, no going back! I don't even QD after washes now!

yes, I do too. bought a bucket and 12 plush MF just for this method. still dont use as often as the BHB and Gilmour foam gun but it's definitely a good way to wash, and fast.

I haven't yet, but watched the video recently and am curious to try.

Question though, assuming you go with spritzing the panels before you wash them like the video suggests, any reason why you couldn't use UWW+ as opposed to ONR? What I mean is assuming I'm using ONR as a rinseless wash, can I use a ready-to-use waterless wash mix of UWW+ instead of ONR for the pre-soak? (Only reason I say that is I happen to have already mixed a couple bottles of UWW+, but haven't for ONR yet).

If it's better not to use two different wash products during a hybrid wash, i'll stick to one but I just thought I'd see what peoples' thoughts were on that.

I wouldn't mix the two products (ONR and UWW+). Maybe they will work, but if they don't, its a few hours to fix that mistake.

What damage could a water/rinseless wash do?

The surfactants/soaps/etc in one could render the lubricants in the other useless for starters.

you could use gary deans method w/ UWW+ or just use some ONR/water mixture in a spray bottle to prewash. After every wash, I pour the excess liquid into my pressure sprayer and use that to prewash the panels.

If you want the ultimate in safe ONR washing you should use my method....

It called the: Troy Scherer OCD ONR Method

1. Preassure wash the car getting the majority of the stuff off.

2. Mix up your ONR (or whatever rinseless you choose) usually 1-2 gallons

3. Put your clean plush MF towels in the solution to soak.

4. Wash each panel using a clean MF or side of the towel.

5. Discard used towels into another bucket and get another fresh soaked towel as needed.

Thus the: Troy Scherer OCD ONR Method. :eyebrows:
