Your finds are like a trip through my younger years...Between your cars and your finds, I'm wondering if you have "favorite eras" for your various interests.

Generally, 1955-1985.

Here's a video I uploaded of the boombox

Ah, that's a good range you picked there.

Heh heh, those "level lights" take me back!  I can *almost* remember the brand of my early-'80s boombox...just might've been a Panasonic!

Found these pristine condition records and vintage tin at an estate sale today (on a friday), near my house.
The Marrs - Pump up the volume was a thrift shop buy.
Paid $10.00 for all. :)

August 2nd 2014 finds
So i went into this weekend thinking there wasnt gonna be many sales out, since it is long weekend here in Canada (civic holiday)
I did manage to score a few things though (1 massive boombox) score.

1. Vinyl records - paid $2 each, (sealed Europe KP)
2. SONY c-90 cassettes - $0.25 cents each
3. Vintage tins and weedwacker twine - $3.00
4. JVC M-70 Boombox Ghettoblaster - $15.00 (worth $400-$500)
Cassette and radio work perfect. Few nics and scratches but nothing major.

Ah, more good stuff!  Just listened to Brothers in Arms the other day....

Were you able to check out the JVC's operation before purchase, or was it a pleasant surprise?

Went to an old furniture store today . Closed down after 60 years. I like picking through junk. The guy gave me this 1979 plate for free because I was born in march 1979. Also got a 1992 consumers distributing catalog for free, worth $50 minimum. Im going to return next week because its too jammed in the back. Hes got all kinds of vintage automotive stuff!!

That'd be a great place to poke around, I simply love situations like that even if they are tinged with, uhm.... melancholy due to the closing-down.

Went to as estate sale today... prices were very high (near retail) on most things ! I did manage to find a couple toy cars for 25 cents each - Corgi Oldsmobile Toronado, 1974 Matchbox Laing Crane.
Also picked up a box of free records, nothing special though.

That Sony is a tank, they really over-built them back then.

Good spotting on the Shur, most people would never guess it's worth that much.
