Garage Pics.

Finally almost have this setup perfectly. Just need to hang a set of cabinets once our kitchen gets remodeled and I get the scraps. :)

We moved in back in July, and at that time I painted the floors with Rustoleum Epoxyshield and built the workbench.

Here's two initial pics:

I had been working in the garage with the two overhead incandescent bulbs, and a 500w halogen stand light. My airhose reel never had a chance to get mounted, and my Rigid shopvac was still just sitting in the box.

I got laid off two weeks ago and figured it was a good chance to catch up on some projects.

I don't know much electrical, so I used the light bulb socket to outlet adapters, and hung 4 of the Home Depot Racing 4' Dual-T8 fixtures (bargain at $8 each!). The wiring looks bad because of zip ties and extension cords, but who looks at lights anyways?

I hung my air hose reel, and my Rigid Shop vac on the wall, and I can't say enough about it. It rocks to have a shop vac hooked up and at my disposal any time I need it to clean up aluminum shavings from using the drill press, or anything else like that.

Onto the pics:

Awesome! What kinda power is the smiley (sorry, buddy of mine had a red 95 GSX that we always called Smiley) Eclipse making?

Sweet garage :up

Question on that round cylinder shape next the Snap-on/Craftsman tool box on the right hand side. Its that a space heater power by propane?

Yes, got it at Home Depot several years ago for around $30. It's a 200,000 BTU unit.

This garage is much nicer than my last one, this one is surrounded by two interior walls, so it stays warm and holds the temperature much better than before (which was a detached garage).

Enough. :)

The turbo thats on it maxes at about 600hp, so a little over 500 to the wheels. Once I get 130mph traps out of the car I'll be happy and then it'll be upgrade time.

It went 124mph on 22psi of boost, rough tune, and 98degree ambient temps. Intake temps were over 130degrees.

I've changed a bit on the car over the winter, should make power a bit easier now and be a little more fun to drive around.

If I find a job (currently unemployed) soon, then I might upgrade before I can max the current setup.

I really like that organizer that you hung your vacuum on. Did you get that at Home Depot too?

Nice garage dude. I recognize you user name from back in my DSM.org and dsmtalk days. I've went from the dsm, to an LS1, to my truck since then. Looks like you've stepped it up too, if memory serves me you were rolling a red/white 1g back in the day. Anyway, small world, nice garage.

Very nice. I'd paint the walls a darker color to help hide dirt but that's just me...

It's not as light as it looks, plus it is light enough to reflect the light a bit. Any darker would ruin the light reflectiveness I think..

:)

I had a 90 FWD back in 97 to 2000 or so. It was red.

I've had my 96 since 2001 I believe..but most of its time was spent on jackstands doing this buildup.

DSM was the easiest way to get a 130mph street car with my knowledge. :)

Thanks..

Looks like a nice place to hang out!

Sorry to hear about getting laid off. I'm in Ohio, so I know that for some sections of our economy things are pretty dismal around here and have been for a few years now :(
