Garage finally finished!

Only the Freezerator is Gladiator - cabinets are knock-offs from Canadian Tire.



Jason, I'm in Fort Sask. Yeah I mounted the cabinets for head clearance at 6'5" and put less frequently used gear on the upper shelves. I got the tire racks for like $70 bucks on sale and they are functional and sturdy if a bit lower quality with sloppy welds and paint instead of powdercoat. You have a bit of fexibilty wrt to stud spacing as you can reverse the brackets and the mount tabs are slotted. I thought of mounting them on 2 by 4 but my studs worked out ok in relation to the cabinets so I didnt waste alot of space.



Greg, I used 2 double 8 footers overhead.



Mike, I just have el-cheapo Simoniz 1750psi washer.

I actually ended up buying one of the upper cabinets from CT on thursday night, based on your recommendation. Last day of their sale for the week ($109 instead of $149). It went together fairly well, EXCEPT for one little problem I'm having. The doors aren't lining up to well. Did you encounter that issue on any of the ones you built? (from your pics, it looks you bought at least 12 of them). And if so, how did you "fix" it. (or do you have some crooked doors on some and your pics just hide it well?).

Sorry I missed this post, Jason.



Did not have much trouble with this but that's probably because I was watching for it as I built the cabinets. I made sure I built the cabinets on a flat and level surface and installed all(doors were torqued once at the same level as they don't affect squareness of the cabinet) the hardware only hand tight. Then stood it up, checked for squareness using the back panels as an impromptu carpenters square and then tightened hardware from the bottom up.



After mounting a few weren't square due to irregularities on the wall. These were easily fixed by putting some force at opposite corners of the cabinet. Would hear some "popping" sounds and and things would square up.

Don't worry they will go on sale every month or so. Even at $150 they are excellent value - Stainless and Powdercoat/Sturdy/Great looking. Only real difference from the Gladiator stuff is the locks - I have 16 pieces and there are only 2 unique keys!



Now my wife wants them in the basement for her winemaking!
