Funny Smell In New Beetle

Looks like KVAN74 and Dr_Detail beat me to it. The shop I worked at also did rustproofing. One of the materials we used was paraffin based. It had that "crayon" smell and it would stay with the car a long time...the smell would also 'flare up' it the stuff got hot (engine compartment, hot weather etc)

Re: Another Subject... I just spent 3-1/2 hours yesterday cleaning all my leather, every piece of interior trim, vacuuming out parts of the Beetle I didn't know existed, and generally getting every piece of dirt and fuzz out of there. I'm very sore today (and I work out!). Does this mean I'm a detailer now?
