It seems to me as the best way to do it as I have a black 99 996, is to dawn it twice, clay it with quick detail or whatever lube you use, then use pre wax cleaner maguires is what I use, then 3m smr, then here comes the question of polish/glaze/sealer? I would assume this is where zaino z6 comes in? any other better polishes and or sealors at this stage? after this then a quick detail spray with carnuba preffered, and then pinnacle soverign, zaino z2, or p21s? I am thinking p21s from what I hear. Let me know what the final steps should be. Also I am going to get a pc, what speeds should I use at each step? I read 750-1000 on the smr, but what on the removal? and what on the application and removal of the polish and wax? Thanks. I am a nubie but have done maguires three step cleaner /polish /gold class and the results were good but I want the best! Tell me what polish, and wax to go with on my clearcoat black 996, something I can get at the store or on of the manufactures listed above prefferably i.e. zaino, pinnacle, p21s, maguires, or 3m. spr, you're asking a whole lot of basic questions here, about nearly every aspect of carcare. That can get overwhelming to folks.



Have you bought/downloaded the e-book that has all the basics? Also, read the Autopia articles. And look through some of the Detailing Product Reviews.



As you get some of the basics under your belt, and can ask some more specific questions, I think you'll get lots more replies.
 
Yeah. I see. Thanks, 4Dsc. Don't understand why newbies think they need to double-post, when there are so many Autopians here willing to give their good advice.
