I'll be getting my Grand National back in a few weeks from the autobody shop!! All restored and freshly painted.

I've heard alot of good thing about Zaino products and would love to try them. Should i wait a cetain amount of time before i start applying wax products to my new paint?

How about quick detailers?

Well if your car was not put in the "bake oven" I would wait 2 months before I do anything.

Ask your painter, if he says it was taken care of and it's all set to seal then it's fine.

If you HAVE to do something to the car, it's alright to wax it, you just shouldn't use polishes and stuff that is abrasive.

I've read in previous posts to wait at least 30 days before applying anything. Would ask the shop where you got it painted how long to wait .

E-mail or call Sal Zaino. I had some body work done a few weeks ago and asked the same question. He told me he'd wait about a week. Sal has a lot of experience with many manufacturer's paints and he'd be the one who'd know. What brand of paint was used?

According to Sal Z,

The most I personally would wait on fresh "aftermarket body shop" paint before polishing with Zaino Show Car Polish is 1 week. That's more than sufficient
curing time.

Zaino contains no wax, harmful silicones or abrasives.....
The new paints are catalyzed. A chemical reaction cures the paint. The older lacquers and enamels needed time for the solvents to release. This is not the case anymore. Believe me if that paint need 1 to 3 months to dry then it will never dry.... Just the facts.

did you notice, that there is layer of clear being removed (after compounding )

not advisable to do it annually or too often - as the thickness of your car coat is only as thick as a paper
