There is no cure!
Interested in this product line. Would liek to know what experience some of you members may have with it, what you liked, and what you did not like.

I also have a specific question. What polish from Four Star would be designated as its finishing polish. Something that would remove a compound haze and hologramming but finish clear and hologram free via rotory.

Another question regarding their polishes. How quick or slow does the polish break down? Is it ready after 3-4 passes? Or will it go forever?

Thanks in Advance.

hi joy, love and admire your work. i recently had my vette done by troy of detailcity and he used fourstar polish, paint prep and paint gaurd plus, among other 4star products, on it and i must say it's some amazing stuff. the polish he used was their med. cut and to see it work is more like a glaze in that it polishes out unwanted swirls and scratches, but it finishes clean, no dusting, no wipeing, nothing but shine. i hope i'm giving you a sense of what i'm tryin g to describe. from here you go to the paint prep which cleans your paint and readys it for the pgp. the pgp goes on so thin you wonder if it's going on at all but trust me it is. you use so little product for such great results you'll wonder how. it only gets better the next day after it cures then you're left scratching your head.
another product they used on my tires and plastic trim was their tire and trim gaurd. this stuff blew me away because of the way it seals the rubber and drys dry. it does'nt wash off, and is impervious to rain. you only need apply it maybe once a month and you can layer it to the level of shine you want. i hope this helps you.

I need to clarify a couple of things. The Medium Cut Compound from Four Star will dust, but the dust is very minimal if you buff properly with it. I did two Mercedes Friday with the LCC (light cut compound). First with the rotary and wool pad and then the UDM with a white polishing pad and they both came out looking great. I was able to do some moderate paint correction with minimal effort and the swirls came out fast and easy.

To answer your question about break down. Their compounds do break down fairly quick with the rotary which is what makes them work well with the D/A too.

I would rather not make comparisons to other products but I welcome others who have tried it to offer some comparisons or comments.

I have used the QD and it is very good.
I think their QD is better than most but I have not tried their other products.
My avatar was taken after I used Four Star QD on it :)

The 4* swirl mark remover is great stuff.. I use it regularly. IMO not as aggressive as PB SSR.

I also use the ultimate gloss enhancer... i like to mist it on after waxing, I think it gives a slightly better shine.

I like the 4* leather cleaner and conditioner. The conditioner is really more a protectant for top coated leather. It leaves a nice fragrance. Top coated leather really needs cleaning and a protectant.

Fourstar is one of my favorite products. So far I have used 4star sealant, leather cleaner/conditioner, and the 4star QD and they all provide great results.

4star UPP is definitely my favorite top notch sealant.

I just got my UPP this past week and have had poor weather last weekend and this one doesn't look much better. But I'll let you know when I try it out.
The 4 star professional spray wax plus is a nice product that doesn't get much mention.

Joy may be more interested in the Professional products, but I can only comment on the few Ultimate Line products I have used.

Ultimate Leather Cleaner - Priced and performs like most of the leather cleaners I have used. Seems to be a good product.
Ultimate Leather Conditioner - Seems to work good. The leather in the GTP still looks new. Has a terrific leather scent which doesn't last a long time, but it also isn't overpowering. My favorite leather conditioner.
Ultimate Gloss Enhancer - One of the best I have ever used for appearance. Right now I have 5 QDs on hand.
Ultimate Paint Protection - Without a doubt, the slickest LSP I have ever used. Over Klasse AIO as a cleaner/prep, it is a killer combination. Durability has been questioned at times, but it seemed to last great for the 4 to 6 weeks that I was after.

I have heard good things about UPC and UPPS, but I can't personally vouch for them.

Charles I agree with your assessment of the Ultimate Gloss Enhancer it is a really great product and does enhance the looks of my finish better than most. :bigups
