Formula 33

I was wondering if anyone has heard of this stuff, a friend recently told me about it, I'm trying to track down some info on it. The product is supposedly called Formula 33, he's not sure if it's a wax, it appears to be a final detailing stage. Word is, this product is used by 'all' collectible corvette owners, as well as by owners of other collectible cars. I fogured that if anyone knew about this, it would be you guys. If not, I'll look for more info. I'm wondering if it's a local product, and hasn't made it out of the NY area. I kinda doubted his claims, I figure I would have heard about it here already. Thanks for any info.

I think your friend is talking about Formula 113 (or the "F word" depending on who you talk to)...

Do a quick search here for Formula 113 - lot's of info.

It is Formula 113, sorry for my lack of info on the product. Now I'm wondering where it wound up in the guru reports wax test, but it sounds like there's better stuff out there. Thanks for setting me straight.

PS: Personally, I'm getting a can of S100, but, once my 3M Perfect-It Swirl Mark Remover runs out, I'll be looking for some other way to one-step prep the surface (unless I break down and start using clay, I'm trying to not go too crazy, however, the detailing bug seems to be catching, thanks a lot, guys). Thanks again (2000 Civic SI: black)

Actually, Formula113 is not a bad wax, but the owner of the company put off a lot of people here by the way he acted.

It's a decent cleaner wax with a nice shine, but it doesn't last very long. The Bead X quick detailer is actually very good and you can use it in the sun. Smells good too. I didn't like the clay bar. It works fine, but it is real plasticky and hard to mold.

For $25, you can get a container of S100 and the S100 paint cleanser and that $25 will wax your car a whole lot more times than a 16 oz bottle of Formula113 will.

American Shine has a great cleaner wax. I forget the exact name, but the site is www.americanshine.com . Easy on and off, nice shine and it smells like bubble gum!

I remember the unpleasantness a few years back with Mike P, but he is cool to me, in fact, he sent me some full size bottles of his stuff and I gotta say, I LOVE the stuff! Beadx RULES and the wax is really good too.

I think he has some trial size products you can buy on his website, not sure tho.

I never had a problem personally with Mike either, but apparently others did. I liked the wax also, it just doesn't last very long. American Shine's and Clearkote's Moosewax both have just as good a shine and last longer.

Definitely agree about Bead X.
