hey everyone, i did my spring polish last week on the truck and i hit it w/ SSR 2.5, but forgot to follow up with SSR1.

I immediately put on a few coats of #26

Truck is silver so it looks pretty nice and hides alot, what should i look for to see if i need to remove the wax and follow up with SSR1. i dont have halogens or a garage.

Here are some pics, is there anything you guys see or did 2.5 finish down nicely, I know without halogens and such its hard to tell, but for you more experienced guys, can you notice anything...

It looks pretty doggone good....what I would do would be to look at the finish very close, in various kinds of light. Be looking for minor marring that the 2.5 may have introduced, and look to see how "clear" the finish is.

If you're happy, and you just might be, just let it go and enjoy. If not, you could do a wipedown with a mix of rubbing alcohol and water, which will strip the wax. Or, you can do the same with Klasse All-In-One, if you have it.

Even though I have followed SSR 2.5 with SSR 1, the end result of any polishing also depends on the pad you used, and the paint itself.

You may not need to do anything other than sit back, pop a cold one, and enjoy!

even on dark colors, with the pc and ssr2.5 the finish is ready for wax. No need to panic. I've done that route many many times and the cars all came out fantastic.

+1 on what Moe said. I recently tried Klasse AIO and instantly fell in love! The stuff is absolutley amazing!! The truck looks great so may be not even mess with it!! Next time though....even if you follow up with SSR1....finish with KAIO and you too will be amazed!!

hey thanks for the nice comments guys! Mose and Moe, I do have AIO and I as well, LOVE IT! I use it from time to time.

and Moe, maybe i will pop a cold one and enjoy it, damn good advice!!

Thanks again everyone!

... Im all paranoid that i didnt follow up with SSR1.

maybe its all good after all....??

Heh heh, if you like how it looks then it's good ;) I don't doubt that if you pulled it into a certain type of lighting and inspected it in a certain way...well, yeah, you'd see something (and no that's absolutely not a slam). But unless that "under certain conditions" stuff bothers you then I sure wouldn't worry about it.

I'd let Mother Nature take care of stripping off the wax (like maybe over the next few months) and reevaluate it then, when it actually could use some work. No way I'd mess with it now, I'd quite worrying and enjoy having it all shined up.

good call Accumulator, thats what i am gonna do!

Thanks for the advice everyone. I just hope i dont see it "under a certain light at a certain angle" anytime soon or else its PC time again :-)
