Forgive me, for I know not what I've done.

I used my PC for the first time this weekend and I have the problem of my Sonus micro fiber bonnet flying off of my PC into the next door neighbor's yard. What am I doing wrong? Do I have to turn the PC off whenever I lift it off of my truck's surface? Also, can I turn the micro fiber bonnet inside out and use the other side when the front side becomes clogged?

Well, you won't want to use that one again without washing it thouroughly. It's not a bad idea to turn the PC on and off while it is on the paint. This will also prevent sling and the pad flying off.

I don't use bonnets, but if the inside is the same as the outside, I'd think you could turn it inside-out. If the inside has seams or isn't as nappy, I wouldn't. :nixweiss

Can I use one of the pads that came in the box from Sonus to remove wax? I'm kinda confused about if the foam pads are for application or removal of the wax.

Hi there! IMHO I would try taking off most of wax with your hand and a good quality MF. Save the MF bonnets for a final run over the paint to ensure that all the wax is taken off.

:)

lagniappe, typically you'll use your foam pads to apply polishes, waxes, sealants, etc.

And I agree with RedondoV6: "I would try taking off most of wax with your hand and a good quality MF. Save the MF bonnets for a final run over the paint to ensure that all the wax is taken off...."

Now as to your question of the MF bonnet being reversible? I don't know if the Sonus is or not, I saw no mention of it in the product description. I have some MF bonnets I got from Autogeek, which are reversible and worked fine when I used them over an LC orange pad. Although I haven't had to reverse them yet, both sides look/feel identical.

I'm giving you a link to the Sonus pad kit that lists what each pad and bonnet is used for, you might want to do a copy and paste of the text for future references. Link to Sonus Pads.

I have the Sonus microfiber bonnets and I see no reason why you could not reverse them. The inside is identical to the outside.

The black pad can be used to remove wax, if you didnt apply the wax using the pad.

The bonnets should be reversible, the inside is the same as the outer.

Normally you do turn the PC or any other buffer off when you lift it off the surface to prevent the bonnet from going flying.
