Forget looks, what gives best protection?

For boutique-type products, probably a toss-up between Zaino (never used it) & Klasse SG which I have used and been very satisfied with.

For OTC, you can't beat any of the Collinite products. They are layerable, look great, and are extremely durable. 3x layers lasted through a Western New York winter and, though the beading was diminished, there was still significant beading in the spring.

If duration is what you want, it should be something like this:

1) GLARE polish

2) Zaino, Klasse SG.

3) Collinite 476S

4) Collinite 845 (IW), Megs #16

While collinite 476S is tougher than its sibling the 845, 845 is better rounded as it applies easier, withstands heat better and looks better. In fact, if I had to choose one and only one from that list, 845 would be the choice.

However, based on your conditions NONE of the list will give you more than 10 months. You can try klasse SG, Z, and glare in different parts as help us with a long term durability test ;)

In my experience, nothing can touch Zaino for durability. Only that that has come close is SG. UPP is unacceptable after a few months for me.

Of course, Zaino's durability is enhanced with frequent Z7 washes and Z6 wipedowns.

Everybody says Zaino, Klasse, Collinite, they are right. Another way is to use a spray wax aftyer each wash . WAUD, Mothers FX spray, Mothers Reflection. Even a QD will work like E.O. Wipe n Shine , Turtle Platinum Detail spray Mothers detail spray, Meguiars detail sprays and NXT spray wax.

blitz wax!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i always used collinite 845. but after getting my 15oz. can from winners circle, the snow white buick still has a protected shine almost 2 weeks. the weather has been in the 90's and still holding up. i'm thinking of waxing this weekend with blitz and top it with another coat of 845 and see what happens.

The best protection is hard to determine. Longest lasting, ya thats easier.

Who here really knows if product A or B really is protecting from harmful UV rays or fallout, or whatever?

When someone said that NXT is still Megs best protecting sealant/wax when #21 came out it made me think. #21 has been getting longer lasting reports from members, so does that mean a product can bead water, for a long time, but yet have a lower level of true protection?

I dont know.

CG's website has a rating for the Gloss, Slickness, Protection ect. The sealant 3x nuba has a 9 for protection.

But it wont outlast Zaino.

How do we know who makes the most impermiable sacrificial barrier, forget durability.
