I have been waiting for these to come stateside to see how they look and the possibility of getting a dedicated detail rig. Anybody have one of these yet? Thoughts?

They've been over here for months now. I see a ton of them on the road and all my local Ford dealers have a lot full. I looked at one and really liked it.

I have seen a couple flower shops and the like around here with them and have been meaning to head over to my local Ford dealership to see what kind of a price I'm looking at.

Keep us posted.

One of our local Ford dealers has a bunch of them sitting out front with a bunch of fake business names on the sides of them to help push them to small businesses.

It did get Truck of the year at the NAIAS.

These are very nice and as an aside the Port of Baltimore is solely responsible for bringing these vehicles in and making sure that they comply with US regulations. I would like to get one with rear seats and still have a good amount of space for supplies. You can even option one out with an RFID finder so that you can always know where your tools are located (and alert you if one is stolen).

also, my father-in-law is on his second Sprinter. These are also wonderful work trucks that are very efficient/reliable. However, the Sprinter is much more expensive than the Transit Connect.

Sprinter is a lot bigger than the Transit. The Transit is almost toy like. It still is cool.

I priced one out online for about $30 000. Seemed a little steep.

$30,000 is crazy. You should be able to get into one for about $23,000 if not cheaper. At least in my area.

my father was interested in one. so we went and checked them out here in GA

they look nice.

Max load capacity on fords website is 1600 lbs.

they were priced around $23k here.

I just wish you could get the diesel version in the US it gets like 40mpg or more.

Agreed! If they had a diesel model, they would sell a lot more of them.

Not in the US they wouldn't. All of these manufacturers have awesome success with diesels in other countries but they sell horribly here.

They have about 100 on the ford lot here ready to rock and roll Starting price is $18,500 to about $22,000 from what I've seen. I've been looking at them myself. It would be the perfect set up.

I work for Ford. The transit is simple and straight to the point. Big doors, very roomy cargo area, good on fuel(runs on a focus 4 banger). So far I haven't seen any major problems. They seem to have a few common interior type rattles, that's about it. Just don't expect it to haul *** up a hill. Use them for what they were built for, then you can't go wrong.

We have had one in my business for almost 6 years now, only about 40k miles, because it's used in the city 95%of the time.

Been pretty satisfied with it, no big problems really.. Thinking about geting a new one, but it looks so similar except for the dash, and the old one still works well so I'll see..

I don't understand how someone can compare this to the Sprinter, like comparing a Focus to a Chrysler 300 or something..
