Ford F150 King Ranch Edition: 1/2 detail (no 56k)

It's OK, he's right. Like I said in the original post, I don't like the tire dressing I have, I was trying to use it up so I can get a different product. Heck, I'm just happy I got the white lettering to stand out again. I'm not making any excuses, I even titled the thread "1/2 detail" because it certainly wasn't a full detail. I can see a dozen places I missed on the interior pictures alone. I didn't even touch the engine or inside the wheel wells.

Also:

When Lorne posts pictures of a quicky *free* detail he does on a work truck that is infested with Hawaiian red dirt we can all point out things we would have done better. Heck, when Lorne gets around to posting ANY detail he has done, we can give it a good going over.

If you don't want opinions don't post pictures. Why apply dressing when the tire is still dirty?

A. I don't live in Hawaii

B. I will be washing my parents 01 f150 tomorrow. Its 14* here now, supposed to be in the 30's tomorrow. Don't worry I will post pics.

KING RANCH HeCK YEa one heck of a nice truck, If you work hard you should enjoy every min of it!!!

"I would not use saddle soap on leather seats!" Unless you have unstain leather. READ the How to care for your leather seats" in your owners mannul

Saddle soap will take the stain out of the leather, its way to strong.

I just Detailed a KING RANCH last week I can say this its a nice truck. Ford has the best Interior of all the trucks out there. I love my Ford Ranger 4x4 but the next truck I’m getting will be a KING RANCH its going to be black /w silver trim

My 56k did ok only a little smoke coming from it but it still works.

I like the #3 pic where OOPS is written through the dirt on the fender.

Good start so if you do an all-out detail in the future it won't take *as* long.

Me too. I didn't even see that until I was uploading the pics onto my computer.

Yeah, definitely, although the exterior will likely be just as bad in the future. It really does need polishing, but I may be getting a PC for christmas :woot2: The interior should not get so bad as soon as one of our housing projects wraps up and we're out of an especially red, muddy area.

i agree with the "bused truck" comment.

work truck is one thing, but not to be used as an excuse.

nice detail though, how do you get your wife to help ?? my g/f laughs at me when i tell her we should do it together,

she is always talking about doing stuff with each other ;)

This is obviously someone that has money to throw around. I would be ashamed to spend that much for a truck and then treat it like it cost 5K. It takes less effort/time to maintain one than to let it get so far gone you have to spend days to get it back to half way decent
