for those who use waffle-weaves

I use the big blue drying towel and wonder if I should use it like a chamois(sp?) and drag it across or fold it over a couple of times and wipe with it?

I prefer to use it like I would a normal towel, with a slight twist. I use the 'ole "use water to dry the car" trick, then blot the majority of the water with the BBT. On some of the larger, flat panels, blotting isn't real efficient, so I use the BBT like a normal towel, wiping gently.

The general rule of thumb is "the less that drags across the paint, the better." ;-)

my problem is that if I use it lightly, it doesn't pick up all the water and I"m let with trails after I drag it across, but maybe the whole blotting thing is a good idea.

i use the waffle weave in the left hand an follow that up with a plush 16 x 16 in the right . the smaller towel pick up the trails:)

hubris63- Gentle wiping won't hurt anything, especially once the ww towel is a little damp (like from blotting). BTW, Microfibertech's gray ww's are SO soft! I'm using one of those as my "follow-up" towel.
