For the money, what is the best polymer sealant?

"best" is a very relative term. I like SG on white and other light colors, ex-p on reds and metallics, wolfgang on reds, i havn't tried meg's 20 or FMJ but FMJ looks AMAZING on gsrstilez teggy. it seems to me that SG lasts the longest. Wolfgang seems to not have very good durability from other people's posts. oh well, this post will involve lots of opinions, i would check out the "click and brag" section and go on what you think looks the best.

What is your intended use? Just your vehicles, family and friends, commercial detailing? What quantity do you think you will use in an average month? :)

I like Poorboy's EX w/carnauba. For some reason, it last longer for me than EX-P. A gallon will last me a long time, even using it in my business and sending off samples to a few autopian and giving a quart to my kids.

Z-2 or Z-5 plus ZFX One of the most durable out there. And It looks great , at least on either of my red, silver, or black cars.

I'd buy whatever was affordable and convenient. I used to use Meguiar's #20 or Pro Profection when I had a detailing shop. Both are available from local distributors, many of whom will deliver. Open an account with a couple distributors, get their price lists and go from there.

I use Klasse AIO on almost every detail. Yes, it is a sealant , and yes, it offers surprising durability.

We use SG frequently, but not always...

I agree.

It will be for commercial detailing. I like the Zaino Z2, but I will keep that stash for my car only.

Mirror: If you are looking at the bottom line, in addition to the recommendations made so far, check out some of the "pro" online sites which offer bulk or wholesale products including:

http://www.stonersolutions.com/

http://www.sparkleauto.com/

Good luck! :)

PS: Good move on keeping the Zaino for yourself! ;)

Got to throw UPP in the mix...I've never used EX or EX-P but a gallon of UPP is under $60 and the easiest product that I've used to date. I really like Zaino and SG for durability BUT they're not as cost effective as UPP and definetly not as easy to use.

I'm in the same boat currently as I know that I'm going to purchase a gallon of something...maybe I'll order some EX and EX-p to try out first before I make my decision...currently I'm planning on going with UPP though.

Sometimes the best is not always the lowest price. It's usually a good idea to go with the product that gives you the best results.

True, but a gallon of #20 is pretty reasonable and the results are great!
