COMPULSIVELY ANAL
Last night I was changing the headlight bulbs in my Grand Prix.

Being Anal-boy that I am, I happened to notice some dirt BEHIND the headlight pod. Hhhmmmmmm....

Well, you guessed it. Yes, I took out the headlight pods and corner lights and cleaned behind them... You wouldn't believe all the dirt, crud, leaves, bugs... behind the lights !!!

Cleaned with QD spray, then applied Z2 Pro x2 then QD again.

This, hopefully will help to protect those areas from future corrosion!

C'mon CharlesW... you can top that I'm sure!!!!

EDIT / P.S. ... Back in the days when cars had chrome wheel well trim, I used to take the "bright" trim off twice a year and clean and wax under the trim pieces......

(Better do the tail lights tonight.....)

I'm right there with you...I brought this 94 Nissan Sentra some time back, that was neglected pretty well.....I was checking the lights to make sure they all worked and noticed a couple that where out....

I pulled the one that lights up the license plate and WAHOO...years of dirt, crud, in the light area that was making the reflective sliver stuff not even work...I cleaned the area up...used some polish to get the lens back up to clear..Carefully cleaned the sliver backing in the light...and replaced....

Now a huge dilemma for me if that one was dirt what about the rest?....Yes you guessed it I removed every light on the car and cleaned and replaced. The lights are bright and shinny at night...and it drives better....LOL

I had a 67 GTO with the chrome trim on the wheel wells...(I miss that stuff) and removed it a few times to clean under and turtle wax. I was only 19 at the time.
