Folex Carpet Stain Remover

This stuff is amazing! I can't remember who on this website suggested its use, but I decided to visit my local Canadian Tire and give Folex a try. For those who live in Canada you can find it at any Canadian Tire, Home Depot, or Home Hardware. I have this stain on my carpet from a BBQ 1 1/2 years ago. I've tried many commercial stain removers and none have worked. Folex was a different story. I just gave it a good spray, rubed it in with my fingers and blotted as it says to do on the bottle. Gone! I wish I had pictures to show you guys but I didn't bother because I honestly didn't expect it to work. I'm very, very happy with this product and recommend it to anyone! It was $10CDN for a bottle which should be chump change for our american friends. :)

I think I paid $5 or so at Albertsons.



Good stuff. I think someone here mentioned it a couple of weeks ago and I happened to see it that night at the grocery store.



Works very well, especially on upholstry. I still rely mostly on my Magnum Upholstry cleaner, but I use Folex on the deep stains. Combined, they remove nearly everything I run across!
 
Thats one of the many great things about this community, everybody has tried everything before.

Hey you guys what are you trying to do? I don't NEED a carpet cleaner - now I've got another product to pine over when I go shopping.... :p



Seriously though, thanks. It looks like we have another winning product. I've also seen it at London Drugs and a couple other fairly common stores too I think (Zellers?), so this stuff seems to be everywhere up here! At $10 or $12 a big bottle (looks like a litre or so) it's priced good too.
 
As I said previously on another thread, this is a trade secret my brother uses in his carpet cleaning business!! I have several bottles around the house. Awesome for stains on clothes as well.



If you have really tough stains, leave it on for 10-20 minutes then wipe off( outside in). You see this stuff on grass stains!!! :up

Our pastor in Jacksonville, FL turned us on to this stuff! Incredible! I can honestly say he was "Heaven sent" (if nothing else, for recommending this stuff)!!!:bow
 
I just picked up some Folex from my local janitorial supply company. This stuff is supposed to be able to tackle any stain that you run across.... well maybe. The driver's side floor matt in my wife's car had a big red clay mud stain on it. If you're from the south you know how hard red clay stains can be to remove. I've tried two applications of Folex with about 5 minutes of dwell time each and the stain is still there. This weekend I'll give it another shot and let it dwell for 20 minutes or so and see if it works.
 
Leave the Folex on longer for deeper/tougher stains. I would try a spot somewhere in a hidden area, and leave it on for 1 hour or longer. Once you know that in your case that you will not discolor your carpets, go after the stain with the longer leave in time.



Some stains, especially ones that are really saturated into the carpet fibers, just may not come out with anything.
