What do you use to clean (new)but foggy rear tailights? If you want to say they are cloudy I could give you that option too?Car is within 2 years old and in mint condition the funny thing is its only the big middle light, the 2 side lights are perfect.I am at wits end

Try Blue Magic plastic polish or Poor Boys Professional Polish. The Blue Magic is available at Pep Boys; I think it was $4 or $5.

If the cloudiness is from inside the tail light lens cover, it could be much more difficult to clean.

Megs PlastX works wonders. Search for Lynn's write-up. I have also used Blue Coral Metal polish for really oxidated lenses.

If the cloudiness is from minor scratches then there is an excellent write up for removing them somewhere on this site. I don't have the thread but search for it. It describes removing the scratches (cloudiness) through a number of steps. e.g. wetsand, abrasive polish, less abrasive polish, even less abrasive polish, plastic polish (e.g. plastX), sealant topper.

Are the foam gaskets still in good condition on the rear of the light?? I know my Integra used to fog the rear tail-lights all the time. I remove the tail-lights and gave the gaskets a good clean, and bolted the lights back in. Has been perfect ever since. Failing that, all the light globes are in correctly, no small hair-lines cracks, it only takes the smallest of cracks to let moisture into the light.

Good luck

Is it fogged on the outside or the inside?

If it's on the outside then Poor Boy's Pro polish works well on clearing it up.

If it's on the inside you might have to seperate lens to work on it.

If you have pictures it might help.

Good luck,
