Foam Gun question

Hey folks. I have a question about the Gilmore Foam Gun.

I bought one off the Danase website this spring and have been using it all summer. I really like it but...



Yesterday I was washing one of the cars and in the middle of the wash I was gunning down the roof and the foam started building up like I've never seen! It looked like snow piling up on the roof! Don't get me wrong, it was really cool! The problem was that I could'nt get it to keep doing it. I was able to replicate it a little by pressing down on the brass dial on the top, but I couldn't keep it going.

I'd really like to be able to have this amount of foam all the time. Anyone have any similar experiences?



FWIW I'm using Chemical Guys body wash. The foam I usually get from the gun is pretty good, but doesnt' "pile up" like it did. I have tried at least 4 different car was solutions and none of them did what happened yesterday, so it's not the solution. I think it has more to do with the settings.



Any thoughts?
 
Did the bleed fitting in the top come loose? Someone has said that if you loosen that you will get more air in the foam. I have never done it, I guess I'm worried I'll lose the bleed screw.
 
I've turned the bleed screw in and out and had it tight and loose.

Yesterday it was loose and when I pressed on it is when the foam started piling up.

At the same time I turned the screw in and out while pushing down. I'm sure there's a connection to the screw and the reaction I was getting.
