Foam Gun or No?

Ok, so I use to have one and sold it b/c I started using Zaino's shampoo and I didn't want to be wasting that much soap. My experience with the foam gun was that it was terribly wastefull of the soap. So am I just plain wrong or is it truth that if you plan on using a foam gun be prepared to run through bottles of soap. My Z7 shampoo normally lasts me 6-8 months using the bucket method.

I put 2 caps of Z7 with 12oz of water into my gun and have enough foam to wash 3 cars.

Cool to hear, and you are using that $32 one right?

Yes I am. Don't fill more than half ways. The weight puts to much stress on fittings if filled all the way.

Unlike your clearcoat (think: wash induced marring leads to polishing leads to thinned clear...), shampoo is a renewable resource.



Weight putting stress on the fittings? I use mine filled up all the way and they last for years. Perhaps I'm not understanding something here...are you using the quart-size gun? I'd think they took the weight of the filled bottle into consideration when they designed the thing.
