Florida here I come.

Hi rydawg! I have lived in Cape Coral for three years and really love it. But I believe Sarasota has more money and full time residents. Naples has money, I agree, but it's very seasonal. As soon as it gets warm around April the streets "roll up" and it's very quiet until Dec/Jan. May I suggest a mobile detailing business? From Cape Coral it's 1 hr north to Sarasota and 45 min south to Naples and 3 hrs to Miami. So you can go anywhere and those with the nice wheels would much rather have you come to their car.

Sounds like you are sold on Florida Rydawg, i wish you the best....have you ever thought about Texas...like South Texas....Austin/New Braunfels/San Marcos? It is a really nice area as well...im from the panhandle originally but dont go there haha..
 
One other tip for you that most southern detailers already know about. A big money maker is headlight restoration down here. There are a few places that only do that.
 
Just be careful, last time a detailer made a big announcement about taking a trip to Florida, it didn't work out too well!!! LOL



Seriously though... 12 years ago, I picked up left Toronto and moved to New York City. I didn't know anyone in the City so it was tough at first but I thought it was a great move and a great part of my life. I'm sure your move will be amazing, especially for your business.

Aww, well I guess if I'm ever in Florida, I'll have to hang out with you, Todd and David (and the rest of the FL crew) for a day. However, if you ever make it out to Cali, I'll be here. :)
