Flex XC 3401 VRG Review w/ Pics

I've been using 6.5" Erasure pads from Excel Detail and 6.5" pads from Detailer's Paradise. I think they are both actually made by LC from what I've seen. The Erasure ones are pretty flat, whereas the Detailer's Paradise ones are concave, with the edges sticking down further than the center. I ordered a test round of LC CCS 6.5" pads and started out with the orange pad, and got some hopping around. However, others have had not issues at all. I don't want it to sound like I'm giving them a bad rep. In all fairness, I need to give them another shot.

Licensed - welcome to Club Flex as well. We might have to start another thread to get a headcount of us now...

Hey guys...don't know if you saw but CMA is now also selling the Flex. Their price isn't the best (not too mention the recent "issues" discussed on this board), but they do offer their thoughts on the machine. It's not a bad little write-up.

Club FLEX (nice Jonny) continues to grow!

I finally used the Flex for an entire swirl removal today. I have some gripes but I am pretty impressed overall. I personally think it's a much, much better machine than the PC. When I get the pictures up I will post some thoughts.

I have some issues with it. Mainly my 6" backing plate. The cord pigtails easily. but overall with CCS pads I am loving it.

I am ordering the Flex in a few weeks and I am really exited about it. To go with it I want to get a blue, orange and white- 6inch edge 2000 pad. And also LC 6.5 CCS pads in orange, white and black just to compare the two kinds of pads with this polisher and see what I like. BTW for the Edge pads should I get the Edge2K Drive DA Adapter or is it not even worth it? Also I am planning on buying a Aqua Soft Carpet Brush attachment mainly meant for a PC but it will work fine with the Flex right?

im not to up on the flex so i dont even think i should be answering your question but im feeling a saucy so why not....i believe an edge adapter is in the works and do not think the flex can use just "any" da or rotary backing plate

sorry if this is way off haha

This is correct, an EDGE adapter may be in the works.

Any sort of attachment that you can use on the PC will not work on the Flex. Two completely different means of attachment.

A fellow Autopian IM'd me from Spain wanting to see the guts of the Flex with the BP off. Here you go:

Figured I would post it for the benefit of all.

Thanks for the photos.

You could take a picture over BP? Have the same gear that the Flex?

do you think that a new BP of 4" could be adapted?

Hi mate,

are you going to buy a Flex? This machine is very expensive here, around 420 € :soscared:

I was interested, but I have to think about it :work:

Best regards mate !!
