Flex vs Cyclo?

If you were going to choose between the two...which would you get? Prices are roughly the same. Also, do you need an new backing plate with the Flex or is the new one now shipping with the Flex? Does any of the sponsors accept a coupon code for the Flex or is it on the no coupon allowed list? Best place to buy? I have seen DI and PH and AG

Thanks in advance

Not to highjack, but what does everyone have against the PC? Almost every thread I've seen negates the PC...it's all about the UD or Flex mostly:confused:

Nothing wrong with the PC, it's old reliable... It just really depends on what you are looking for and what you want to spend.

As far as Cycle vs. Flex, gotta go with Flex.

PC is less aggressive than the Cyclo or FLEX and some of us don't like the PC's ergonomics. Also, the PC's build-quality/durability doesn't compare with that of the Cyclo IME.

And the PC wasn't *really* designed for use as a vehicle polisher, whereas some of these other machines *were*. Sometimes that does make a difference.

Not like really I have anything against the PC other than my personal preferences either, I have two of 'em and the last time one needed repair I didn't just throw it away.

I got mine from PakShak. It has the new BP (5.5"), SoftVib handle (in addition to the bail handle) and a "soft material" between the velcro and the ABS-like plastic. I think (negating the shipping factor if you're in mainland US) he has the best price for the Flex (including a bonus foam pad).

If you'd go with the Flex, better purchase it right now since the price is going to increase in the near future.

Times have changed. Out with the old in with the new. Nothing wrong with the PC for carpets and upholstery now that I have the Flex.:argue

Has anyone found any specific brand pads that work better with Flex? If so, what kind and what size. I don't want to order more pads if I don't need to. Would rather just use the ones I have had for my PC

I've used the regular foam pads with the Flex. My new order for the CCS pads from AG came today. I'll try them out sometime this week and see if there's any difference. I think that if you have 6.5" pads you should be fine. Flex doesn't recommend anything larger than that.
