Flex backing plate

I would like to use 4" and 5" pads on my Flex 3401. Has anyone used the Flex changeable backing system? Wondering if it is a quality item and would you need to change the counter weight?
I'm new to polishing and the forum. I really appreciate all the info.

I have the 4", 4 3/8", 5.5" & 6" The 5.5" came with the machine, the 4 3/8" is made by Flex I believe and the other two are the LC interchangeable kit. They all work just fine. Just make sure you use the flat washer when attaching a different bp and the allen head from the Flex and LC are unfortunately different sizes. Believe one is 5mm and the other 5.5mm

Yep, it's a bit weird but the allen heads are definitely different sizes

Maybe the Flex is actually metric but the LC was the closest english size so the same tool could almost work. I will check mine.
