Flex 3401

I'm awaiting my Flex 3401, I keep reading that the backing plate is either 5.5" or 6", will the LC 5.5" pads fit.

They might fit but I'm not sure how 'safe' it would be. The back plate is 140mm which is 5.51inches. I have used 6 inch pads and there isn't much overlap.
