Flash pad saves the day on a trashed black 911

Just going back through my archives from last year's details, picking out the few that stood out from the rest. This was one of them. I was contacted to prep this 993 for sale on a somewhat limited budget. I was told the basics "the paint's only three years old, and I take really good care of it". Let's see what the decon had to say. B)

Turns out the paint was in miserable shape. Swirl marks, deep scratches, and sanding marks from the body shop. Sad, really.

Oh, did I mention I had a Q7 to refresh while I was there? Black, of course!

The first 50/50 shot using a flash pad on my 21 and HD Cut.

Hologram city meets a swirly metropolis!

Took a break to check in on my helper. :D

Back to crying over the condition of this paint.

... and like magic, it's done!

Still some room for improvement, but very nice for the budget I was given.

That Audi was pretty dirty, too. It had been coated last year, so this was simply a refresher.

MUCH better!

A reflection of a reflecting reflection?

Thanks for making me realize I had 911 on the mind instead of 993. :D

It is a 911. 993 is just more specific to this run. It was the last of the air cooled 911's and they are increasing in value. A nice black one is an easy sell, thanks to your work.
