Fk1 Ultra Slick Poly Wipe Spray Detailer - Review

mg,

it is the Reflections spray wax you have to let haze. The FX is the 'QD' type spray wax.

There are two useful threads about the #215 and the FX-100 at Roadfly.

I agree with the others: QD = #425. Period!

#2180 followed by FX-100, finished off with #425:

I applied FX-100 the same way I do with OCW and didn't have any problems whatsoever. In fact, I found it just a little tiny bit easier to use than OCW. I don't think it's as slick as #425 on initial application.

425 is one of simply not enough products out there that really does live up to its claims. It is very user friendly, near 100% streak free, and is remarkably, confirming its claim, anti static. This QD does a wonderful job repelling dust.

So who is part of the gallon or 5 gallon club?

When i ordered one quart they sent me 2! It will take me a few months to finish up that, but once I do, hello gallon!

Greg

I acquired a sample and within one minute after a trial application I ordered a gallon. It does what it says, which is rare these days.

I have gallons of quickie spritzes in the garage but this will be reserved for our cars.......I've never seen anything like it.

It works so well both ways I'd say it's a tossup! I admit I haven't used it as a clay lube yet....I'll bet it is superior.

i dont use it as a clay lube. I thought it fit best here since there inst a qd forum. And it wasnt an lsp either.

GOod questions

I myself have never heard of FK until Greg mention the products in his process.I'm trying to wait until i run low before i buy a new product,i don't how much longer i'll wait before taking the FK plunge,I'm really wanting to try them..

Its really worth it! You migth want to try the sample kit on there site, its a great way to get acclamated with the line. Fk1 will also give out samples with your order if you request them.

Greg

Lee, Have you tried #425?

I've used Z6, and think it's a decent QD, but I can't justify the price. IMO #425 is a a better performer, and a MUCH better value. It's worth a look. I use on in the house too. It really does a good job of keeping the dust down on your PC monitor and TV.

I am sold. Order my #425 & FX 100 last Week. I have try other prducts and 425 is the best. I use it to dry my car after I wash when still wet. I think this helps stop marring and gives the paint that just waxed feeling( slick).

That's an application technique I hadn't considered before, thanks.

I also found that it makes furniture more reflective and slicker than any "furniture only" product I've ever used.
