tom p. said:Yes, and I've elected to make it a permanent product on my shelves. It's very good and it's quik. I've used it on 2 or 3 cars (I only had the sampler pk from FK) and have been initially surprised and very pleased with the result. :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs

Spilchy said:I use this stuff. It stinks to high heaven and requires claying afterwards. I used it on my brother's (now mine) 2005 Jetta wagon that lived under a tree with zero wax. It required claying to remove embedded contaminates.
It also fails to remove tar that 3M Adhesive & Tar Remover ate right through.
If you're looking to strip the paint down, this will do a much better job than a Dawn wash but do not expect it to eat and melt through crud to expose a perfectly clean, ready to polish surface.
You will have to clay and will need a dedicated tar remover for heavier deposits. But it will remove wax, sealants, surface dirt and grime.
I tried it on the windshield which was cloudy when the wipers were on from sap coverage. It failed to make a dent in it. The windshield required a polishing with PB SSR 2.5 and a cutting pad followed by AG Glass Polish with a 4" polish pad.
MDRX8 said:You are right. When you have a car in that bad of suface imperfections you need something else. It is not a subsitute for polish with a cutting pad. This product is by design to be safe to use. Not take the paint off your car. Since my car is taken care of it did produce a finish ready for prep, polish, and wax. If it is in that bad of shape try kerosene. The 3M product you mention is for spot cleaning. Not the whole car.

I wouldn't expect it to replace a polish and a cutting pad because the 1119 obviously does nothing for swirls, marring and scratches.
My point was in reference to atticdog indicating he wants to use it to cut down on claying. You still have to clay as you often have to do with the Autoint 3 step system as well (FK's competitor).
If you read what FK indicates the 1119 is capable of, you'll see why I posted what I did. It isn't as strong as one thinks and you still require clay and a tar remover. But, like I mentioned, it *will* remove wax and sealants.
