Fk 425 = $114

What would you think about a flatrate overseas shipping? Feasibility? Percentually it wouldn't be that much I think, but obviously I don't know FK1's market matrix.

Hi all,

Lowejackson I feel your pain! I am based in Scotland and am trying to get some good products together that have been recommended on this site and it is very difficult indeed, as some of the good stuff is available in USA only. For example I tried to order a 16oz bottle of Adam's Detail Spray and 16oz Adam's Butter Wax which came to about $26, but the shipping was $80! I emailed Adam's and Heather Reynolds (Operations Manager) has been extremely helpful, she can use USPS to lessen the delivery costs for me. I am still thinking about whether to go ahead or not with the order, but at least she has tried to offer me a more viable alternative and she has been fantastic with her customer service.

Also Jeff Brandt from Jeff's Werkstatt has been really helpful too with my shipping queries, he got his web designers to put in a 'Great Britain' option as a shipping destination in their e-commerce shopping cart to help work out the shipping costs quickly for guys like myself, that was really nice of him to do so and he was also fantastic in his customer service too. Currently waiting on a shipping quote from FK1 on a couple of quart bottles of #425 but I suspect it will be quite high as well, which is unfortunate.

It's a real shame products from companies such as FK1, Chemical Guys, Jeff's Werkstatt and so on cannot be more readily available here in UK, I would love to get my greedy mitts on some of that stuff! :chuckle: I have to say I feel a little stressed out trying to find out where I can get various items from only for other issues (i.e. shipping and customs tax!) to creep up and halt me in my tracks. Still to order the PC, that will be the biggie order! On a positive ending, I finally managed to buy some Menzerna PO85RD3 and PO85RD today after days of internet research and emails, its being shipped from Ireland! :shocked Ces't la vie I guess...........

Anyway don't give up Lowejackson, keep the faith! :lol :bigups :brit

Take care,

Rich.

Hi there is a new uk chemical guys distributor. www.carwashnwax.co.uk

Sorry thats all i can help with. :2thumbs:

I ordered a gallon of #425, FX-100 (32oz) and #2180 (16oz) and it cost me US$87 which was a fair bit more than the products. FK1 were nice enough to include a few samples in the box for no extra shipping.

#425 was worth it to me, but I'm going to make that gallon last as long as possible.

Also www.motorgeek.co.uk which is an affiliation of autogeek. I got stuff from these guys.

Hi again,

vwlover, that's beautiful! Cheers for letting me know the websites to check out. I have dealt with MotorGeek before and Ron is a really nice guy, the service was great. I will check out the other sites you mentioned at lunchtime! :hifive:

Bence, cheers for the heads up, I will factor the costs you mentioned into my budget and see what I can afford. Thanks! :2thumbs:

Rich.

i wanted to order 1 x 31oz of #425, and 1 x 31oz of FX-100,

total cost for product and shipping is $73.79

which equates to just over $100 australia here

i really wanted to try these products but shipping just makes it impossible to be reasonable for me :(

i mean $100 for two bottles..

i wish there was a better way :(

I believe tea was rather expensive many years ago in Boston and that caused any awful lot of trouble :brit :bolt

Actually, the tea was cheap, it was the tax we weren't crazy about... :usa

And it was shipped in leaves - can you imagine shipping tea by the gallon???

I can understand your pain, to an extent. I'm only in Canada and there are a lot of US company's that won't even ship here, and the ones that do, some of them charge an arm and a leg for shipping.
