FK 221-D Wheel Cleaner Review

215 is Philly area..hmmm, but their phone is So Cal and their website show Pacific Coast time...

maybe faxing an order wouldn't be a good idea LOL

He said my order would be shipped from AZ. They are located in CA. I think he said they have a couple regional ship locations.

sampler pk, #215 and the wheel cleaner, which is #221-D (I think). He was pushing the sampler pk and said I needed to try the various items.

He suggested this process:

Car wash>#215>#303>#2180>Pink ...and this is for my DD which hasn't had any attention since this past spring

Yeah, great idea on the bottle re-use! Are your wheels sealed? Just curious how FK affects the durability of a sealant, even when diluted.

I still love my Griot's WC diluted at 50/50, leaves my KSG'ed wheels in great shape.

Wow and sorry, I didn't think the responses would grow this quick.

Yeah, the EO bottle has been very nice to use with other wash-soap mixes too for crevice cleanings.....it jets nice suds to your target.

My wheels were coated with Klasse AIO x 2 and have been re-topped with FK #146 after every wash since. I should've used KSG or 2180 instead (after the AIO). After the 221-D cleaning yesterday, the wheels' finish didn't seem any different than when I was using EO AWTC before. Touch ups with FK #146 and they are good to go.

I do like the idea of FK 1000P on them....I will probably try that on my next wash.

I think I like this wheel cleaner a lot! I mixed up a bottle (1:6) and cleaned a wheel off the car. I took care of the front and back sides. The cleaner works well and I'd compare it to regular strength P21S except this FK product is very thin, comparable to water. That does not appear to be a problem. The cleaner has a distinct lime odor and there doesn't seem to be any burning on the skin.

One thing I prize in a wheel cleaner: optical brighteners ! And the FK product has them ! Wheels are very clean and have a bright appearance. I've been trying to find a product that has the same attributes as P21S and leaves a bright look.

So far: :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs

I mixed mine up 1:6 as well. It really is pretty economical at less than $11 for 32 ounces.

I haven't tried it on wheels and tires yet, but I gave it a little try on some silver powdercoat on my bike that had some road grime. It did a pretty good job and didn't discolor any of the aluminum...so that in itself is very promising.

Tomorrow looks like a nice day so I'll use it on my car tires and wheel..I need to give the Polycharged 21 it's first bath as well! I'm thinking of putting a coat of the 1000P on the wheels afterwards
