Been using collinite 845 for a while now and it's been great. Durable and protects well. However, I HATE the smell of it. Smells like WD-40. It stinks up my applicator pad and microfiber. So I was looking for an alternative on times when I dont feel like stinking up my pad and mf. FK 1000p (although not trim friendly) seems to be a good alternate. Is 1000p strong smelling?

Yeah its similar to WD-40 as well, very solvently

It's the mineral spirits that are part of the solvent system.

Hmmm. I never considered 1000P to be nearly as strong smelling as 845.:think:

....I guess I'm a little weird and actually don't mind the solvent odor from these products.

Yep, I'll take the solvent smell over some other products that just smell bad because of a fragrance added.
