Is it better to fix the chip in the paint and keep the original paint on the panel or repaint the area? Cost is not a factor. I guess I am asking if original paint is better than a repaint? TIA
OEM paint is almost always better than a repaint. Among other things, they are able to bake the paint at much higher temperatures since they don't have to worry about things like trim molding, hoses, belts, etc...
The chip is not very big but you will be able to see it when it is fixed. I am just trying to find out if it would be better to put up with seeing it and keep the factory paint on the panel. If I get it repainted the chip will be invisible but the paint is not factory. What is the best way to go.
