First Use of ONR...

Used ONR for the first time on a moderately dirty Mercedes S600. Worked great!

I feel like it took twice as long to wash with ONR then when I use a power washer. :hm Although, there was less cleanup in the hanger I was in.

Another thing, my sponge got nasty. It was like the dirt just dissolved into the sponge and it would not clean out. Is this normal?

I think it will not take as long to wash with it once I get the hang of it because I was amazed at how it did not mar the paint at all (from what I could tell) AND put a nice shine on the vehicle. I am going to use it on my own car tomorrow and see what it does. It has been raining for a week and a half straight here in OK, so the car is a little dirty...

Any thoughts of suggestions would be great.

Thanks,

Switch from a sponge to a microfiber covered foam pad. I feel the nap of the microfiber cover adds a margin of safety and they wash out very well. Target has a really nice one in their automotive section.

Still a "skinner"...............Prefer them over well, everything......

You dont get too much dirt hiding in the dreadlocks on those Scott?

What dreadlocks? The pads I use are like a good MF towel over a foam pad, not a chenille style covering.

I use good quality microfiber towels. They work great for me. ONR detail strength in a spray bottle and seperate MF towels for my rims.

takes a little time to learn and get 100% with it - just try it a few more times and your time will tumble. I bet within 3 washes you halve the time it takes :)

I agree, its slower than using a pressure washer BUT....

An ONR wash is not slower than getting a pressure washer out and setup, washing the car, drying it, and then putting up the pressure washer.

I am starting to get the hang of it. I am really enjoying it. Hard to get used to the fact that it is quite while I am washing. I am used to the loud power washer....
