Well I decided to give my new Zaino a try as I had the afternoon off, and it was a good day for it, not to hot and overcast with the sun out sometimes.
I dawn washed the car, then clayed it. This took me much longer that I thought, but the paint was in good condition anyway, but I thought it best to clay the car.
Dried the car
Had a few water spots as the car was drying pretty quick. I went round and got all the ones off I could see, but you know what it's like. I know I'm going to find some that I missed tomorrow.
So now it's Zaino time!!!.
I've spent a lot of time reading threads in this forum and making a few post, and I finally decided to import some Zaino from Germany as that the nearest stockist to me in the UK.
I felt that it's longevity would suit me as the car is a daily driver and is outside all the time. I needed something that would last.
I mix up about 1 oz of Z5 with ZFX and applied it to the whole car with a foam applicator. I was trying to spread in really thin, but it seem a bit sparse in places, but I got round the whole car and had more left over that I thought I would. I wasn't sure I would get round the car with the amount I had mixed up.
So I let it sit for a while to dry. By this time the light is fading as I remove the Zaino with an MF cloth.
It does look quite reflective, but it was a little hard to tell as it was getting pretty dim and no direct bright light for me to make a fair acessment of how good it looked.
So now I have to wait till the morning to see how my hard work looks
But I plan to go at it with the Z6 in the morning and then give it another coat or 2 of ZFX+Z5 with Z6 in between.
I think all the neigbours think I'm mad as I only washed it yesterday, one said to me today
" You'll wash all that paint off that car!!!".
I'm sure you guys can relate to this
Hopefully I won't have any waterspots or I'm guessing I will have to remove the Zaino to get them off, then reapply over the top.
I shall let you know how I get on tomorrow and what I think of Zaino
Any advice or comments on what I have done so far are welcome
