First Time With ONR - I LIKE!!

The clean looks nice. But, I do have one concern about skipping a conventional wash and flood rinse in snow and ice areas. I notice the evidence of corrosive salt in the body seams and hood and probably the trunk seams.

What do some of you ONR users do about that?

I was always under the assumption ONR was not meant to be used on cars that have alot of grime on them(kinda like yours :D )

Regardless, the car looks great. Beautiful Colour :drool5:

If you use a VERY thick wash mitt, and lots of water, you can get the dirt/salt residue out of those seams.

Yup, I noticed that as well and took care to really work around those areas. I think a pressure wash is necessary during the winter months, when you can. But, if you really work at it, this stuff seems to get in tight spaces as well.

The car was dirty, but there wasn't a lot of grit on it or mud, it was just the salt residue for the most part. I primed the paint, so it was wet to start with and I never felt like I was grinding anything in the paint, it just felt like it was sliding across, like it should.

Use mine on a detail this weekend 2 times, getting very low need to restock very soon.............:wizard:

I'm probably preaching to the choir here Angelo but ONR's one of those products that I definitely always get by the gallon. You can't have enough of it around.

I give each client a 4oz. bottle of it after a detail, with instructions on how to use it. Unfortunately (fortunately??!:)) some of them are pretty hopelessly addicted to the Swirl-O-Matic.

At "car wash" strength it's a great interior detailer/cleaner.
I use it for a clay lube and it's great for that... I think 8oz/gal. is the mixture for that.
I think you can also use it for a detail spray?? 4oz./gal. for that, or something along those lines?

Yeah, I have been trying to figure out the smell for a while myself.

Funny you guys are disguising the smell....I have a bottle right here in my pooter room....I have been ordering different stuff as all of ya have sugested..its too cold in the garage,so my office looks like sum bodies in the detail supply business......I think I am turning into a detail junky like the rest of ya... I just popped the cap and snorted it.... to me it smells kinda like a carpet cleaner...kinda clean, kinda lemony....:D....but not a stinkun smell at all.....:) used it once and liked it...me thinks its a garage staple.:)

OK, my report from an ONR virgin: nice stuff. Did the Expy in 45 minutes (not even touching the roof) and it came out fairly clean. I can see the need to pre-spray certain areas (wheel arches and the rear panels behind the wheels).

How are the other ONR products guys ?what are your favs ?

Dam snowman....:Frosty:

Are you talking about other manufacturers of rinceless washes or other uses for ONR? Optimum is the only brand of ONR (O meaning Optimum) that I have used. That being said, there are many uses for ONR (depending on dilution ratio). You can use it as a QD, a clay lube, add it to regular car soap as a water softener, etc. One of the best detailing products made!!!

I haven't used ONR as a water softener for traditional 2-bucket washes, but you can bet I will as soon as this DANG COLD WINTER is over!:banghead::banghead::banghead:

I know DP has a rinseless wash for the exact same price. Not sure about any more information regarding it, but I just bought 1 more gallon of ONR for myself :)
