So I decided to finally wash my car as the rain had stopped and finally snow was gone. My whole engine bay was nasty so started to clean and then decided to wash it. I used Oxyclean mixed with water and used a wheel brush... I then protected with Meguiars protectant(red spray bottle)... Did a quick job since was gettin dark and abt to rain.

Looks nice, despite the odd cleaner. Engines are my favorite thing to work on, so its good to see another guy with a clean engine (a lot of people don't work on engines, due to fear of damage, which is not wholly unfounded).

Another tip - try AIO on the underhood metal, once you get the plastics sprayed. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks Tim, Oxyclean was all I had so had to do. It didnt do too bad of a job though. Yes I was afraid as there were alot of electrical connections. But with lots of foil and reading here I was good to go! What APC do you use to clean the engine?

I hate a dirty engine and thanks to winter it was nasty! As for AIO, I am about to buy it, so will use when I get it :).

Also thanks everyone for all the help, all I do is read old posts and search so found ALOT of valuable info! Stay posted now for posts on my other cars once I get my PC and everything. Oh yea I will post interior shots when it is nice out as I did the inside as well.
