Well, everyone,

I finished my first detail w/ a PC! All I can say is "WOW" I never thought my brothers car could look so damn good! The thing was so easy to use, just a little patience and time is all it took. I removed most of the marring on his paint with just an orange DAS pad and PB 2.5. It was overcast today so not much sun to work w/ on the photos but the pictures still came out alright

heres a link to the first thread: most of the before pics are there

Wow that silver looks great and has a nice glow it to it. Nice job for your first time with the PC, although it's quite easy once you get the hang of it. :xyxthumbs

Hopefully your brother can maintain it now. :D

OT: Whats that bar code sticker on the passenger rear window? I've seen them before but never knew what it was for.

I had my first PC experience over the weekend as well. No pics, but what a difference it made on my 1999 Beetle! I used some Meg's Mirror Glaze Swirl Remover and Yellow Wax. Many of the swirls came out -- I need to get a more agressive pad (Sonud Swirl Buster?) and give it another go.

I don't know if it was the Yellow Wax or the PC (or both), but the beading action seems much tighter -- smaller beads of water in very close proximity.

Thanks for the compliments everyone, what a confidence booster it is when you can transform a car like that! Cant wait till this weekend to do another abused paint job!

Johnny... that barcode opens a gate at my brothers place. there is a gate when you go in, and if you drive by the infrared scanner, it scans the barcode and opens the gate.

Scottwax, it sure is a great feeling!

Neothin, thanks for all your support in these past few weeks, youve gotten me over alot of worries I had.

Thanks again everyone, hope i can do as good a job next week! Will post some pics sunday night hopefully.
