How i hold it depends on the panel im working on, i use it both ways just depends on the panel.

Wool can work minor miracles. These new products aren't like the wool pads I used 20 years ago.
Flying fur stops after 1 or 2 uses, I found. There was a lot of it when I first used the new pads....had to clean the garage with the blower afterwards.
Nah the single sided pad was just the traditional hook and loop, upset me becuase i dont even own a BP for my rotary.
From what i can tell it works big miracles :lol
The shedding really was THAT BAD. Looked like i was slaughtering a yellow lamb in my garage :lol
Im still scared to wash it and i dont own a wool spur yet. I seen someone mention a screw driver in one of my older threads. I dont see how a screw driver will help really, guess i should just try it and see.
