First time charging for detail. How much?

Hey guys,

I'm currently in a position where someone inquired about detailing their Mitsubishi Eclispe Spyder. I have never charged for my services before being that I usually only detail my own and family members cars. The client would like to have the car "spruced" up for a higher dollar sale. I explained to her what procedure I usually do on my cars and she said that it might be too much considering that she is selling the car. With that being said I was thinking of going with following:

Exterior:

Wash

Clay

Klasse AIO

Poorboys EX-P

Natty's Blue

E1 Wheel Cleaner

Vroom Tire Shine

Interior:

Vacuum/Shampoo Carpets (Folex/Little Green Machine)

Clean/Condition Leather (Sonus Leather Cleaner and Conditioner)

Treat/Clean all vinyl/plastics (APC and either 303 or PB's Natural Look)

which in my eyes is a quick once over. She said that she would be willing to pay whatever it is I ask. She has seen the condition of my cars being that she works in the apartmant complex i'm staying at. I'm not one to try and rip people off so what would you guys think be a fair price for the process I mentioned above?

Explain to her that making a car look nice, and making a car look brand spankin new could make or break her selling efforts. So $145 sounds good.

With that being said, I think a good engine bay cleaning is in order to complete the job.

Price correction $165 :buffing:

Since she is selling the car, all she wants is the car to look better than it looks now. That is the need she has. Fill that basic need with a basic service. Then offer to do the works on the car she will be getting to replace the one she has now.

i have been quoting two prices lately....one that will make it shine and look better, and one that will amaze!

the shiny one is just what the local car wash does, and the amaze one is using menzerna polishes, RMG, souveran combo....

you can see why the price difference just in the products used
