First Round of Mods Done and Detailed

Exhaust, wheels, suspension, led interior lights and other minor items done. Polished with HD Speed and Meguiar's cutting disc. Ran out off time so 2 quick coats of Opti-Seal to finish. Will try Poxy next time. Had used Optimum GPS first time when car was new (1 month 600 miles ago) and IMHO Speed does a better job cleaning, polishing and correcting. Used Optimum microfiber pad with GPS. Who knows maybe user error. Anyway loved Speed, smells great. Noticed bugs seems to like it too, just me or anyone else notice.

Car looks great, its got that trademark Optiseal glass look to it.

HD Speed and Opti-Seal is a killer combo!

Car looks really good, and yes, I too have noticed bugs seem to like HD Speed.

Thanks, have grown to like the "glass look" quite a bit.

Only month old can't take too much credit.

Your car looks amazing! :bow The wheels are a perfect match.

Thanks, nerve racking waiting for wheels to be built and hoping it all works and looks good.

Stole the HD Speed / Opti-Seal idea from one of your posts, you are spot on as always.

This vehicle and your other ones from previous posts all look fantastic. May I ask what camera and lenses you're using?

Thanks. The Audi was shot with a Sony NEX-7 with a Sony E18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 which I got in the last couple months. Previously all shots taken with a Canon EOS 50D with a Canon 18-200mm F/3.5-5.6.

The above shot is ISO 100 36mm f13 1/30 shutter speed. I use a tripod and these Audi photos are actually 5 shots at -2, -1, 0, +1, +2 to capture range. I then process in Photomatix and Aperture3 to produce final image. I usually shoot in Raw format, although for these I was rushing and forgot to change camera setting, not a big deal since to post Photobucket hacks down the huge file size. The NEX-7 is a 24 MP mirror-less camera with full sensor and is fantastic IMHO. I use macro and wide angle lenses on occasion but the zoom is the work horse. Hope this helps.

Thank you for posting this detailed information. It is very helpful. Keep up the good work and post more photos in the future.

Nice camera, I was going to go with it as well, but at Xmas the 7 wasn't yet available due to the delay. Plus the lack of selection of lenses, a client of mine who is a pro photographer told me to get the lumix G3. I did.

I am really glad that I didn't go with a DSLR.

Of course, now the Olympus OMD is out! I will wait until the G5 and GH3 comes out and see which one I want to pick up as a second body. I hate changing lenses. :D

In any case that is a wonderful camera you have there. The pictures are beautiful.

I agree, post more picture

Your welcome, here are two shots taken with 30mm macro just to give rough idea of what you can do.

Thanks Thomas, the G3 is a great camera. These cameras are now like computers, better one is available before you get home, lol. I have four E series lenses for the Sony that covers pretty much everything I do. Besides cars I like to photograph watches. The wife chides me for enjoying photographing machines vs taking more shots of the children.

Forgot to ask about the Opti-seal, was this version 1 or the new & improved version 2? Thanks.
