Jim, I never really use 106 with wool. I use it as a finish polish w/foam only when I finish with a rotary.
The blue/green wools are very nice to work with. I did use a foamed wool again today and it worked good. I really like the edge wool pads alot though. Very smooth running and perfectly balanced. I need some new ones cause a boat I did on Sat killed my yellow wool.
I did a 98 MB SL500 white (wholesale job) today with just SIP and an orange pad and it came out very nice and glossy. I did not take any before pics, but I might have some afters tomorrow when I go back to do a 85 Vette black (bad repaint). Tomorrow is wool day!
I did try the SIP on the the blue edge foam pad and it did the same screeching and hopping.
