First Real Detail on My Car- 2004 Subaru WRX

Gfunk720

My other home is NABISCO
Hey everyone, been lurking around here and other forums for a while now. As a long time Subaru enthusiast, I have always kept my car clean. This is my first go at it with the PC and some new products. Car is daily driven and over 2 years old now. Currently in winter mode and my summer rims are nice and clean in the basement I claybar'd not too long ago, didn't really see a need to do it again...

Process was:
Poorboys Super Slick Wash
Dry w/ microfiber
Klasse AIO- just to remove any grime(may have been a waste in retrospect)
Poorboys SSR2.5 w/ Edge Cutting Pad
SSR 2.5 w/ Edge Polish pad
Men. FP II w/ Edge Polish pad
FMJ Sealer to finish it off
All removed with MF towel and DP Spray

Interior:
Stoners Invisiglass
Optimum Interior Spray

Overall, I am extremely impressed and happy to have my car looking new again. Just need to go back and hit all the trim now with some trim restore and clean up. Any questions, comments, or tips are more than welcome

Special thanks to NASIOC and the super-generous Holland_Patrick.

WOW! That color rocks,i'm really liking that blue.
You did a lotta work on the WRX and it shows.would have like to see some more whole pics of your car. "NICE" Work..

Looks like you had a good grasp on Polish and pad combo's The AIO probably wasnt needed. THe only time I could see using aio before polishing is if you have oxidation. Looks very nice!

Thanks Joe

I have seen a lot of World Rally Blue WRX's, but mine seems to have gotten a pretty dark batch of paint. It could also be the detailing products helping the color and depth.

I wanted to take some more pics, but I was running out of day light. I'll try for some better full shots tomorrow

I'm pretty sure that is a stock steering wheel. Right?

Yes, that is my stock steering wheel. They were used in the 02-04 models, and then changed again in the 05+ models.

Thank you all so much for your kind words, it's very encouraging!

Very nice on the blue. Wet is a word that comes to mind. Much over played but very appropriate in this case.

I know who Holland_Patrick is but who or what is NASIOC?

Lol... NASIOC is the North American Subaru Impreza Owners Club. It is very large forum catering specifically to Subarus, check it out if you get a chance.

I do not have a subie but a friend of mine in Fairbanks has a Forrester black with some metalic flake in it that i detail every year in the spring. Will get him tuned up to that forum. thanks
