Comparing a "luxury wax" to a sealant? If you don't like expensive waxes; no problem. I can certainly understand and respect that. But to bring in the Zaino name - the name of some of the most well marketed and overpriced sealants - the sealant version of swissvax/zymol waxes seems a bit ironic

If you're going to bring Zaino into it, a product which I have nothing against, let's think about all the steps involved. You either have to use Z1 or Z-AIO, or do a meth-lab mix with ZFX. Then, you'll have to let it sit for quite some time before wiping it off.



But in any regard...



I'm currently going on 61 days since initial application. I did 900 miles last week during my business trip to Houston and Dallas. It rained the entire week, and the beading was just like it was on day one.



I am very pleased so far. More than 60 days is good (in my opinion) for a luxury wax.

I have little over 30 days on my coat and same beading as day one, that is through the little snow storm we had and salt sitting on it for a few days till I could wash it off. 60 days for a luxo was like this is good, I am hoping for 3-4 months now as you are getting 60 days strong.

Zaino is the best of the best and all waxes, especially of the Swissvax variety and anything that's over $17.99 is crap.

Reviewing what you've written in this thread, I haven't exactly seen anything positive coming out of your posts.



And I'm in Central Texas. It's not exactly cold here.
 
^ no worries P1et. You gotta realize not everyone will approve or be happy for you. Don't forget that there are people that see a Twin-Turbo Gallardo and say "my friend has a 'Busa that's just as fast and sits just as many people for a small fraction of the price"
 
If you got the money to spend and you can convince yourself that it's better than Megs then go it. Why get bothered by the facts?
 
Hey, trade that ol 5.9 Cummins to the new 6.7 - now that's a mean mutha! I saw the old dude back on Two Guys Garage with his new 2010 and it was friggin bad to the bone.



And enjoy your wax, if it makes you happy that's all that counts. Me, I'll stick to BFWD.

I love my 5.9L, with 75K on the ticker it's giving me 22mpg on my way to Houston. Not too shabby.

Everyone's utility of any product is different that the next person. I value the wax at $315, some may value it at $500, some value it at $50; as long as you make choices based on your situation and your happiness and use then that is all that matters.

A few years ago I detailed a black Dodge like yours, first diesel I've ever drove. I had a blast when some yuppy in an Acura tried to beat me to the 2 lane (we were coming from a 4 lane) poor dummy had his window down - right about level with the stove pipe, I blasted thick black smoke all in his car, better than 007!

:har: HAHA, would of loved to know what they thought when the car was filled with soot.
 
they make a kit for these diesels .that will leave a nice long black smoke screen when u hit the gas!!! id love to get that for my 6.0 :woot:
 
I actually rolled a little coal this afternoon, felt good. Grand Cherokee with the 5.7L was faster than I thought...



By the way, look up "diesel cold start" or "Cummins cold start" up on Youtube when you have a free moment. Excellent soot videos!
