I think it turned out alright, for my first time that is. I only attempted the hood, and this still took me a ridiculous amount of time to do (4ish hours)

Process:

Dawn wash

clay with megs quik clay

deep crystal wash

1 pass sonus sfx-1 on sfx-1 pad

2 passes OP on sfx-2 pad

1 pass OP on sfx-3 pad

wax with natty's blue (friggen hard to buff off, must have applied too thick)

what do you guys think?

looks good you might want to skip the op on sonus-sfx 3 pad step. I think you could go from sfx-2 and the op to your lsp. other then that, I think you did a great job.

How do you like the sfx pads and polishes? The polishes dust a bit to much for me.

good luck

Excellent work.

I fully encourage doing only what you can properly rather than rushing the whole job.

Make sure you post pics when its all done. :2thumbs:

The SFX-1 did dust quite a bit more then the OP, i dont really have the experience to compare it to any other cutting polish. I still thought it did what it was supposed to do quite well though.

A quick question: What do people normally do when polishing around awkward body curves and contours? I tried to go over the ridges while straying as little as possible from my path, any tips?
